About

We are a non-profit foundation dedicated to advancing Radical Loving Care (tm) in healthcare & through the arts.

Radical Loving Care (RLC) applies ancient concepts of Love in healthcare setting to help leaders lead with love and artists to enhance life by advancing RLC.
Since God is Love, RLC is the expression of love that consistently goes above & beyond. The Good Samaritan is our model. The RLC concept extends beyond hospital care to the arts & some social causes.

Our Vision & Motto: Live love, not fear.

Advancing Radical Loving Care (tm)

The foundation was established in 2008 by Erie Chapman. The initial mission of advancing loving care in hospitals is grounded in Mr. Chapman's experience leading hospitals & healthcare organizations including Riverside Hospital in Toledo, Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OhioHealth, Columbus, & Baptist Hospital System (now St. Thomas) in Nashville. Mr. Chapman also founded Nashville's Healing Trust.
During his time as President & CEO of Baptist Hospital System he created and developed the name New Healing Hospital (tm). (This name is now owned by Erie Chapman Foundation as are Healing Hospital (tm) and Healing Hospitals (tm) all of which are used in the foundations consulting work with hospitals and hospices nationally and internationally.)
The original mission includes support for the arts including music & film arts that advance human understanding of love.
The foundation receives funding from contributions, consulting income & sales, including books, RLC materials & artwork. It also receives support from Chapman Health International, Inc.

Our Vision

Live love, not fear.
These four words have been distilled into a vision based on Mr. Chapman's five decades of experience in courtrooms, hospitals, prisons, television & radio studios, boardrooms, churches, charities, art museums, recording studios, the halls of Congress, movie theaters & Tennessee's Death Row.
"Too many people live lives of fear," Mr. Chapman states. "It requires constant practice to live Love's energy as the highest calling of our lives."
Radical Loving Care teaches that patients can be healed even when they cannot be cured & leaders can heal as well.
AWARDS
The foundation awards a limited number of grants each year including The national Servant's Heart Award & The Renaissance Student Award at Maumee Valley Country Day School, Toledo.
The Servant's Heart Award recognizes first line caregivers. The Renaissance Student Award (endowed) recognizes students who demonstrate an exceptional curiosity for learning across all areas together with a passionate dedication to serving others.

ARTS
The foundation also provides a limited amount of support for the arts as a way to advance beauty in the world.

We Are Here To Meet Need with Love 24/7

The Erie Chapman Foundation is small in size & far-reaching in its scope of interest. Our five-member board oversees the accomplishment of our mission and vision. We are here to help those in need, to support those who help others & to enrich the lives of all we serve.
