Live love, not fear

Healing Hospital designation was established as a recognition conferred by the Baptist Healing Trust (Healing Trust) starting in 2005. The concept is grounded in work done at Nashville's Baptist Hospital (now St. Thomas Midtown) during 1998-2002 when Mr. Chapman was President & CEO. Mr. Chapman announced the launching of the New Healing Hospital at Baptist in 2001. The healing hospital work, including name usage, books, films & related materials, were transferred from the Hospital to the Healing Trust & then to the Erie Chapman Foundation after Mr. Chapman retired from the Trust in 2010.

A number of hospitals have been named as Healing under the foundation's new Healing Hospital Certification(tm) process.  Recently, the foundation updated is recognition system to include Bronze, Silver & Gold Level (Highest) certification.* Under this system recent Healing Hospital Certifications have been awarded to:

Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Sacramento, California - Bronze Level
Baylor Grapevine Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, Baylor Scott & White Health System - Gold Level
